LPR 1-2. SCOPE AND CONSTRUCTION These rules apply to all civil actions filed in or transferred to this court that allege infringement of a utility patent, including actions that allege infringement as a counterclaim. These rules are intended to facilitate discovery of claims and defenses and to assist the court in focusing the issues for resolution. These rules must be construed to ensure the efficient and just resolution of patent disputes.
