LR 43-1. USE OF INTERPRETERS IN COURT PROCEEDINGS

(a) Any party who requires an interpreter for a court proceeding must notify the courtroom administrator of the assigned judge at least 14 days before the scheduled proceeding.

(b) The notification must include the language for which interpretation is needed and the nature of the proceeding for which an interpreter is needed.

(c) The court will provide interpreters in criminal proceedings as required by 28 U.S.C. § 1827.

(d) In civil cases, interpreters are provided at the parties' expense unless otherwise ordered by the court.
