LR 79-1. FILES AND EXHIBITS: CUSTODY AND WITHDRAWAL

(a) All files and exhibits in cases pending before the court are in the custody of the clerk. Exhibits admitted into evidence during a trial or hearing may not be removed from the clerk's custody without court order.

(b) After a case is closed, exhibits may be withdrawn from the clerk's custody upon order of the court.

(c) Original documents that have been submitted as exhibits may be withdrawn and substituted by copies with leave of court.

(d) The clerk is not responsible for the preservation of any exhibit or item of evidence that cannot be preserved in the ordinary course of business.
