D. Nev. — General rule
LR IC 6-1. REDACTION To protect personal privacy, parties must redact sensitive information from filings. The responsibility for redacting personal data rests solely with counsel and the parties. The clerk will not review documents for compliance with this rule.
(a) The following information must be redacted from filed documents:
(1) Social Security and taxpayer identification numbers;
(2) Dates of birth;
(3) Names of minor children;
(4) Financial account numbers;
(5) Home addresses in criminal cases.
(b) If any of the above information is relevant, only the last four digits of the Social Security number and taxpayer identification number, the year of the individual's birth, the minor's initials, the last four digits of the financial account number, and the city and state of the home address must be included in the filing.
(c) In compliance with the E-Government Act of 2002, the clerk must include a general notice on the court's website regarding parties' responsibilities to redact personal information from court filings.
