RULE 3.1 COMMENCEMENT OF AN ACTION UNDER TITLE VI OF THE PUERTO RICO OVERSIGHT, MANAGEMENT, AND ECONOMIC STABILITY ACT, Pub. L. 114-187, 130 Stat. 549, 48 U.S.C. §§ 2101 et seq. (June 30, 2016)
A civil action for relief under section 601(m)(1)(D), 48 U.S.C. §2231(m)(1)(D), of the Puerto Rico Oversight, Management, and Economic Stability Act ("PROMESA"), is commenced by filing an application for approval of a Qualifying Modification as defined in PROMESA, and as provided in section 601(m)(1)(D).
The application shall be filed with the clerk of the court, and the clerk shall open a docket for the action.
