RULE 450 (Fed. R. Crim. P. 17.1)

TRIAL CONFIRMATION A trial confirmation hearing shall be calendared in each criminal action on a date approximately two (2) weeks before the scheduled trial date. The following persons shall appear at the trial confirmation hearing: the defendant, the defendant's attorney, if any, and a prosecutor from the United States Attorney's Office who is familiar with the facts and has authority to take action. Before the trial confirmation hearing, the defendant's attorney or the pro se defendant shall have completed all work necessary for a determination of whether the defendant will go to trial or plead guilty. All defendants who elect to plead guilty shall be prepared to plead guilty before or at the trial confirmation hearing. See L.R. 160.
