Local Civil Rule 53.1. Masters

A person appointed under Fed. R. Civ. P. 53 may sit within or outside the district. When the person appointed is requested to sit outside the district for the convenience of a party, and there is opposition by another party, the party may make an order for the holding of the hearing, in full or a in part, outside the district, on terms and conditions as are just.
