Local Rule LCivR 1: SCOPE AND PURPOSE

LCivR 1 SCOPE AND PURPOSE These Rules set out local procedures for the Eastern District of Washington and are intended to be consistent with the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure. They are designated as LCivR and numbered to correspond, where possible, with rules having similar subject matter as the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure. These Rules, along with the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, should be construed, administered, and employed by the Court and the parties to secure the just, speedy, and inexpensive determination of every action and proceeding.
THESE RULES ARE SUBJECT TO ANY ORDER OF THE PRESIDING JUDGE IN AN INDIVIDUAL CASE.
