Local Rule LR 83.32.4: Addresses and Reference of Petitions and Motions

LR 83.32.4 Addresses and Reference of Petitions and Motions. Petitions and motions shall be addressed to the Clerk of the United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania. Petitioners or movants shall send to the clerk an original and a sufficient number of copies of the completed petition or motion for service on all named respondents. A petition or motion addressed to an individual judge shall be directed to the clerk of the court for processing. Whenever possible, successive petitions and motions by a person in custody shall be directed by the clerk to the judge who handled prior petitions and motions by such person.
