LR 72A APPEALS FROM RULINGS OF UNITED STATES MAGISTRATE JUDGES IN CIVIL CASES A party who objects to or seeks review or reconsideration of either a magistrate judge's order on a pretrial matter or a magistrate judge's report and recommendation must file specific, written objections to the order or report and recommendation within 14 days after service of the order or report and recommendation. Any response to the objections must be filed within 14 days after service of the objections. A party asserting such objections must arrange promptly for a transcription of all portions of the record the district court judge will need to rule on the objections. If a party does not intend to seek review or reconsideration, the party is encouraged to promptly file a statement so indicating.
