RULE 51.1 INSTRUCTIONS TO THE JURY (See Fed. R. Civ. P. 49, 51; Fed. R. Crim. P. 30)
(a) In both civil and criminal cases, an electronic version of a party's proposed jury instructions should be submitted by email to the presiding judge in Microsoft Word format. The parties are directed to review the procedures for each judge as outlined on the Court's website.
(b) The parties are encouraged to review and propose applicable Pattern Jury Instructions as approved by the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. See https://www.ca7.uscourts.gov/pattern-jury-instructions/patternjury.htm.
