Rule 168 Discharge

A receiver is a person appointed by the court to manage and distribute a company's property. Once the receiver has finished distributing all of the company's assets and has followed every court order related to that distribution, they can ask the court to be officially released from their duties.

To get released, the receiver files a petition with the court. The court will then discharge, or formally let go of, the receiver once everything has been properly completed and reported.
