Rule 169 Canons of Judicial Ethics

Judges in the Delaware Court of Chancery must follow a set of ethics rules called the Code of Judicial Conduct. These rules were created by the American Bar Association in 1972 and have been adapted for Delaware.

These ethics rules cover how judges are expected to behave, both inside and outside the courtroom. They set the standard for fairness, honesty, and proper conduct for every judge on this court.
