Rule 1 Scope

These rules explain how criminal cases in Delaware's Superior Court must be handled. They cover the steps and procedures that everyone involved in a case must follow.

The rules also apply when a judge in a different court is handling early steps in a case, like deciding whether someone should be sent to Superior Court for trial. In those situations, the same rules still apply to how things are done.
