Delaware courts keep things simple by having just one type of lawsuit called a "civil action." You do not need to worry about choosing the right category or type of case when you file.

In the past, courts had many different forms of legal actions, and choosing the wrong one could get your case thrown out. This rule does away with all of that. No matter what your dispute is about, you just file a civil action.
