Rule 61 Harmless Error

Mistakes made during a court case do not automatically mean the case gets thrown out or redone. A mistake only matters if it actually changed the outcome or hurt someone's rights in a real way.

If a judge made an error in allowing or blocking certain evidence, or if a party made a procedural mistake, the court will look at whether it truly made a difference. Small errors that did not change the final result will be ignored. The court's job is to focus on whether justice was served, not to redo cases over minor technical problems.
