Rule 22 Time of motion to transfer

If you want to move your case to a different court, you need to ask early. The deadline to make that request is usually at or before your arraignment, which is the hearing where you enter your plea.

The court can sometimes allow you to make this request at a different time, but you should not count on that. If you wait too long, you may lose your chance to have the case moved.
