Rule 85 Title

This set of rules has an official name: the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure. When lawyers, judges, or court documents refer to these rules, that is the name they use.

You may also see them shortened to "FRCP" or just "the federal rules." If you are involved in a federal civil lawsuit, these are the rules that govern how your case moves through court.
