Rule 3.251 Right to Trial by Jury

If you are charged with a crime in Florida, you have the right to have your case decided by a jury. The jury must be fair and unbiased, meaning the jurors cannot have already made up their minds about your guilt or innocence.

Your trial must also be open to the public and happen without unnecessary delay. The trial takes place in the same county where the crime allegedly occurred, keeping the case in the local area where the events happened.
