Rule 3.360 Oath of Trial Jurors

Before a jury trial begins, each juror must take an oath. The oath is a formal promise that they will fairly judge the case based on the law and the evidence presented to them.

Jurors can choose to swear on God or simply affirm, which is a non-religious promise. If a juror chooses to affirm, the words "so help you God" are left out of the oath. Either way, the promise carries the same weight.
