Rule 3.570 Irregularity in Rendition, Reception, and Recording of Verdict

If something seems wrong with how the jury delivered or announced their verdict, you must speak up right away, before the jury is officially dismissed. If you wait until after the jury leaves, you lose the right to complain about it later.

When it comes to how the verdict was written down or recorded, a small mistake does not automatically cancel the verdict. The mistake only matters if it actually caused harm to the defendant in a real and meaningful way.
