Rule 3.650 Judgment Defined

A judgment is simply the court's official decision about whether someone is guilty or not guilty of a crime. It is the final word from the judge on the outcome of the case.

This is different from a verdict, which is what a jury decides. The judgment is the court's formal, written announcement that makes the decision official.
