Rule 90.102 Construction

When Florida passed its Evidence Code, it became the main law governing evidence in Florida courts. Any older laws or court-made rules that say something different no longer apply.

This means that if you are in a Florida court case, the Florida Evidence Code is what controls how evidence is handled, not older or conflicting rules that may have existed before.
