Rule 12.012 Minimization of Sensitive Information

When you file papers with a family court in Florida, you must be careful about including personal details. Certain sensitive information needs to be left out or shortened to protect your privacy.

Florida Rule 2.425 spells out exactly what counts as sensitive information and how to handle it. This includes things like Social Security numbers, bank account numbers, and details about minor children. For example, instead of writing out a full Social Security number, you would only include the last four digits.
