A judge can visit and look at a place or object that is connected to your case. This can happen if either side asks for it, or if the judge decides on their own that seeing it in person would help make a fair decision.

This might happen in cases where photos or descriptions alone do not give a clear enough picture of what is being disputed. For example, a judge might want to walk through a home or piece of land that two people are fighting over in a divorce.
