Rule 8.055 Orders

When a judge makes a decision in a juvenile case, that decision must be written down. The judge cannot just announce a ruling and leave it at that.

The written order also needs to include the facts the judge relied on to make the decision. This gives everyone a clear record of what was decided and why.
