Rule 8.620 Style of Pleadings and Orders

When you file paperwork in a Florida juvenile court case, the title at the top of every document must follow a specific format. It needs to say either "In the interest of [child's name], a child" or "In the interest of [children's names], children."

This applies to all documents in the case, including court orders and any papers filed by the parties. The rule keeps juvenile cases clearly identified and separated from other types of court cases.
