Rule 6.550 Official May Grant New Hearing

After a judge decides that you committed a traffic violation, the case does not have to be completely over. The judge can reopen the matter and give you a new hearing.

This can happen in two ways. You can ask the judge for a new hearing by filing a motion, or the judge can decide on their own to hold a new hearing without you asking for it.
