Rule 17 When Counsel’s Recommendation Is Approved.

When someone reviews a complaint against a lawyer, they may agree with the recommendation made by Counsel (the disciplinary attorney handling the case). If that happens, the recommendation moves forward and gets put into action.

Both the lawyer who was accused (called the Respondent) and the person who filed the complaint (called the Complainant) will be told about this decision. This means neither side is left wondering what happened. They both get official word once the reviewer signs off on the recommendation.
