Rule 27 Preparation of Minutes and Deposit of Exhibits

When you go to court, the court staff will keep written notes, called minutes, to track what happened during the case. These notes are for the court's own records and help keep an accurate account of the proceeding.

Also, as soon as a hearing or trial ends, any evidence or exhibits used during the proceeding must be turned in right away. The court will file these items and record them on the docket sheet, which is the official log of what happened in the case.
