Rule 110 Findings of the Court.

When a family court judge holds a hearing, the judge has to put the decision in writing. This means writing down the facts the judge decided were true and the legal reasons behind the ruling.

The judge can write this document alone, or the petitioner's attorney (the person who brought the case to court) can prepare it. Either way, this written record has to be created and filed for every case, no matter what.

This rule works a bit differently than the general rule about court findings (Rule 52). It makes sure every family court case ends with clear, written proof of what was decided and why.
