If a court order gives benefits or rights to someone who isn't officially part of the case, that person can still force others to follow the order. They can use the same legal tools a party to the case would use, even though their name isn't on the lawsuit.

The same works in reverse. If a court order requires something from a person who isn't a party to the case, that person can be held responsible for following it. The court can use the same enforcement methods against them as it would against someone who is officially part of the case.

Basically, this rule closes a loophole. It stops people from ignoring court orders just because they weren't formally listed as a party in the case. Whether the order helps you or requires something from you, you can be brought into the enforcement process either way.
