Rule 1 Office Hours; Filing Original Papers

The Land Court office is open every weekday from 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. It stays closed on Saturdays, Sundays, holidays, and any furlough days set by law. A "holiday" here means whatever day is officially called a holiday under Hawaiʻi state law.

If you want to file paper documents in person, you can only do that between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. This is a shorter window than the office's full hours, so plan your visit accordingly.

If you file electronically instead, you have much more flexibility. You can submit documents any time of day or night, as long as the court's online filing system is up and running. The only time electronic filing won't work is when the system is down for maintenance or other technical reasons.
