Rule 5 Withdrawal of Papers

If you file an abstract of title, map, or other document with the Land Court, you can't just take it back whenever you want. A judge has to give written approval before anyone can withdraw it.

To get a paper back, you also need to sign a receipt form. The registrar's office provides this form, and it creates a record showing who took the document and when. This process protects important property records and makes sure nothing goes missing without the court knowing about it.

In short, if you need to withdraw a filed document from the Land Court, plan to ask the judge for permission first and fill out the required paperwork before you can take it out of the court's files.
