Rule 15 Subpoenas, Depositions, Stipulations, Motions

Getting witnesses to testify, taking depositions, agreeing on facts with the other side, and filing or arguing motions all work the same way in Tax Appeal Court as they do in Hawai'i Circuit Court. There are no special or different steps to follow here.

This means if you need to subpoena someone, schedule a deposition, submit an agreement (stipulation) with the other party, or file a motion, you follow the same process and rules that apply in regular Circuit Court cases. If you're not sure how those procedures work, it's worth checking the Circuit Court rules directly or asking someone familiar with them, since that's where the actual requirements are spelled out.
