Rule 58.2 Certificate of Adoption

Before a judge can finalize an adoption in Idaho, the adopting parents have to turn in a special form called a certificate of adoption. This form comes from the department of vital statistics, and it must be filled out completely.

The judge cannot sign off on the adoption decree until this paperwork is done. This means adopting parents should make sure they get this form filled out and submitted early in the process, so it does not hold up the final adoption order.
