Rule 28 Supervision of court reporters - performance of duties

Each district judge is in charge of supervising their own court reporter. This includes any reporter who is brought in to help with a specific case or hearing, even if that person doesn't normally work with the judge.

Part of this job is making sure reporters get transcripts done on time when a case is appealed. The Idaho Supreme Court sets deadlines for how fast these transcripts need to be finished, and it's the judge's responsibility to make sure their reporter meets those deadlines.

For people involved in a case, this means there's someone directly accountable if transcripts are late. If you're waiting on a transcript for an appeal, the judge overseeing that reporter is supposed to make sure the work gets done within the required time frame.
