If you get a judgment against you for an infraction (like a traffic ticket) and want to appeal, you can take your case to the district court. The process for doing this follows the same steps used for regular criminal appeals from a magistrate court to a district court.
This means you don't need to learn a separate set of rules just for infraction appeals. Instead, you follow the Idaho Criminal Rules that already cover how criminal appeals work when they move from the magistrates division up to the district court level. Your attorney, or you if you're representing yourself, would look at those criminal appeal rules to know the deadlines, paperwork, and steps needed to properly appeal your infraction judgment.
