Rule 60 Title and effective date

This rule gives the official name for these court rules. They are called the Idaho Juvenile Rules, and you'll often see them written as I.J.R. for short.

The rule also explains when these rules started being used. They took effect on July 1, 1996. Starting on that date, the rules applied to any juvenile court case already in progress, as well as any new cases filed after that point.

In simple terms, this rule is just the introduction. It names the rule book and marks when it officially became the law for juvenile court cases in Idaho.
