Anyone can bring a small claims case. This includes individual people, partnerships, corporations, and associations. It doesn't matter what type of person or business you are, you have the right to file a claim if you believe someone owes you money or has wronged you in a way small claims court can fix.
If the plaintiff is a business or organization, an employee can sign the court papers on its behalf. This means a company doesn't need to have an owner or top executive personally sign every document. Someone who works for the business can handle that paperwork instead.
