Rule 601 Supersedure of Code of Criminal Procedure of 1963

When Illinois Supreme Court rules about criminal appeals were created, they took the place of two older sections of the state's Criminal Procedure Code. Those older sections no longer apply.

There are two small exceptions. Sections 121-1 and 121-13 of the old code were kept and still apply. Everything else in those two articles was replaced by the newer Supreme Court rules.
