Rule 903 Subscribing Witness' Testimony Unnecessary

If someone signed a document as a witness, you do not need to bring that person to court to prove the document is real. There are other ways to show a document is genuine without tracking down everyone who signed it.

The only exception is if a specific law requires a witness to testify. For example, some states have rules about certain legal documents like wills that may require a witness to speak in court. If that kind of law applies to your document, you would need to follow it.
