Rule 1.1 Compliance with the Law

Judges must follow the law. This includes all laws that apply to everyone, plus the special rules of conduct that apply specifically to judges.

If a judge breaks the law or ignores these conduct rules, they can face disciplinary action. Being a judge does not put anyone above the law.
