Rule 7.5 5. Fair, Reasonable and Voluntary Agreements

A neutral person, like a mediator, has to let people make their own choices during the process. They can't pressure or force anyone into agreeing to something they don't want.

If a deal being discussed is clearly unfair or extreme, the neutral has to step away from the case instead of letting it move forward. This protects people from being talked into agreements that are too one-sided or harmful.

The neutral also isn't allowed to make important decisions for the people involved. Their job is to help guide the process, not to decide the outcome for anyone, unless another rule specifically says they can.
