If you think the other side included something in their court papers that doesn't belong there, you can ask the court to remove it. This is called a motion to strike. It applies to things like repeated information, unrelated details, offensive language, or anything else that shouldn't be part of the case documents.
You need to file this request within the same time period you'd normally have to respond to that document. If no response is normally allowed for that type of document, you have 30 days after it was officially delivered to file your motion to strike. The court can also decide on its own, without anyone asking, to remove inappropriate material from a document.
The main point of this rule is to keep court records clean and focused on what actually matters to the case. It gives both sides a way to clean up sloppy or unfair paperwork before it becomes part of the official record.
