This appendix is just a reference chart. It shows how the old numbering system for court record rules matches up with the new one.
For years, rules about public access to court records were part of "Administrative Rule 9," with different letters marking different sections. Indiana has since reorganized these rules into their own separate set, called the Rules on Access to Court Records, numbered 1 through 12. This table helps people find where an old rule they may have seen referenced (like Administrative Rule 9(C)) now lives in the new numbering system (in this case, Rule 3).
Two of the new rules, numbers 10 and 11, are brand new. They did not exist under the old Administrative Rule 9 system at all.
If you are looking at an older document, court filing, or case that cites "Administrative Rule 9" with a letter, you can use this table to find the matching rule under the current system. This makes it easier to look up the actual current rule and understand what it says now.
