Rule 1.952 Partial judgment

If you win only part of your case, the court can enter a judgment that reflects that split outcome. This means the court can officially rule in your favor on the parts you won, while also officially ruling against you on the parts you lost.

This matters because it gives both sides a clear, written record of exactly what was decided. You don't have to win completely or lose completely. The judgment can spell out which claims or parts of the case you succeeded on and which ones went the other way.

This is helpful when a case involves multiple claims or issues. Instead of treating the whole case as one big win or loss, the court can break it down and give each side credit for the parts they actually won.
