Iowa Rules of Electronic Search Warrant Procedure – 2026

Nine rules in four divisions, governing electronic search warrants in every Iowa county — Rule 14.101 states that scope. Division III covers the platform: law enforcement agency accounts (14.301), platform user accounts (14.302) and removal of an electronic search warrant package from the platform (14.303). Division IV is the procedure — the application (14.401), issuance (14.402), electronic return of service (14.403), and transfer of the completed package to the Electronic Document Management System (14.404).
