Rule 12.14 Probable cause

The judge’s or referee’s immediate custody order under Iowa Code section 229.11 shall include a finding of probable cause to believe that the respondent is seriously mentally impaired and is likely to inflict self-injury or injure others if allowed to remain at liberty.
