Rule 12.27 Emergency detention — magistrate’s approval

Rule Text

If the magistrate does not immediately proceed to the facility where a person is detained pursuant to Iowa Code section 229.22, the magistrate shall verbally communicate approval or disapproval of the detention and such communication shall be duly noted by the chief medical officer of the facility on the form prescribed by this chapter.
